WOF Checks & Car Seats
What to expect when having your car checked, if a car seat is present
It is important to note that WOF checks do not cover child restraints and in some cases your car seat may be uninstalled as the WOF check is carried out to check the function of your seat belts & buckles.
When entering your vehicle after a WOF check, if your car seat is still in the position it was installed prior to your check it is vital that you check that the seat belt is still engaged as it may have been undone during your check.
WOF staff have been informed to remove the car seat and tip it upside down into the foot-well behind the seat in front.
WOF staff are not able to install your seat for you, as they are not trained to do so.
