New Zealand Child Restraints does not hire or loan out car seats to the general public. If you with to hire a car seat, please view the list below and contact them for more information.
Both short term and long term hire, with or without a rental car. Most of the companies listed below have Safe2Go trained technicians and are happy to help you to get the right seat for your child's needs and show you how to use it correctly too.
Baby on the Move specialise in hiring out and selling car seats to the public with the backing of Safe2Go. All BOTM staff are Safe2Go trained and will not just hand over the seat when hiring or selling it to you. They will always show you how to use and install the child restraint. With our rental system you can choose from short term hire (charged weekly) or long term hire (charged per 6 month period). Just send us a quick message or phone to talk to one of our helpful staff members to arrange your booking. Please book as early as you can to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited. Plunket hire out a range of car seats both long and short term. Rates are most commonly offered for 6 months at a time, with a one off bond paid for the duration of hire. Rates differ from centre to centre, and special rates apply for low income families. Please contact your local Plunket Car Seat Rental Scheme for more information. Plunket's car seats are all provided clean, with instruction booklets, and a tether bolt to be installed in the vehicle.
